Always with same diagnosis of a leak. Has been patched up multiple times and had freon added almost every year, not knowing that was not normal. Today my AC required check-up again. Once again, a leak was apparently causing the unit to run out of freon and freeze. This time I called another service company from the one that installed it. Finally found the massive leak that has been the problem! It was within the unit in what they call the "evaporator." Found out all the coiling was rusted from all this freon leakage and this has been going on since the new unit was installed. Thank you EA Heating and Cooling, you finally found the real problem. I called Abaco and Jahlal came out to see why my air was warm. Turns out a broken coil in the outside unit. Our AC was 26 years old and it was time for it's maiden voyage. They were honest with what we needed and Al went over each and every unit that Trane offered and prices. They were not pushy with any certain unit, but let us pick what was right for our finances, housing size, and comfortable lifestyle. Each time they said they would be at the home they were on time and only took 4 hours to remove and install inside and outside unit. After installation he went over how to do maintenance and the thermostat. If we need any further service calls we will definitely be calling Abaco back. Before starting this review I wanted to mention that this is the third system Abaco Air Experts has installed for... read moreBefore starting this review I wanted to mention that this is the third system Abaco Air Experts has installed for me. This new system is a replacement for an older system installed by Abaco. The second system was an additional Trane Ductless Mini Split system in a recreational room that did not have overhead ductwork. All systems installed by Abaco have operated perfectly. I am extremely pleased with the professionalism of this company. Currently I had Abaco Air Experts install a top of the line Trane XV20i Condenser with the matching Tam 9 Communicating Air Handler and the Trane XL 1050 Communicating Thermostat. This is a system that utilizes a variable speed compressor, variable speed condenser fan motor and variable speed air handler blower motor. This allows the system to compensate for temperature changes and run at the appropriate capacity/speed for current weather temperatures. The compressor can run from a super low capacity speed rate, and up to 100 percent capacity as called for by the temperature setting. In all it has 750 stages of cooling and heating. This will cut my cooling and heating cost down by 60 percent because the units will not be running at 100 percent capacity all of the time as a standard one stage unit would. This is a 4 ton unit that operates at 19.25 SEER. Now on to the installation review:As in the past Abaco arrived early in the morning to begin the install. This installation was more complicated than the past install because I decided to move the air handler out of the attic and into the garage. This required rerouting electrical connections, return air ductwork, tubing and drain pipe, plus cutting holes in the ceiling for the rerouted ductwork. I have to say this was done with precision and I received a very neatly installed air handler in my garage. The old air handler was removed from the attic and all debris removed. The outside condenser unit went much faster and easier because it stayed in the same place as the old unit. The new thermostat was installed and Abaco programmed it for me. It is a phenomenal 7 inch color touch screen that does everything but cook dinner. It even tells you what capacity the compressor is running at. All three devices communicate communicate with each other plus this thermostat has a built in Nexia bridge that allows me to control the system with my smart phone and Amazon's Alexia if I choose. Due to the complexity of this installation it took the day to complete it but when they were finished everything was cleaned up and you would have never known anything was done except for the shiny new equipment. The old units were taken away that same day as well as all of the debris. I have never been happier with a company as this one. ALL of the employees are knowledgeable and nice to talk with as is the owner. THESE GUYS DO NOT CUT ANY CORNERS WITH THE INSTALLATION. That is so VERY IMPORTANT because improperly installed equipment will operate sub par and/or have problems down the line. Abaco EXCELS in the precision installation department. I can also say that I have had very good experiences with Trane products, but it is also important to know that I have maintenance performed annually. YEARLY MAINTENANCE IS IMPORTANT for any equipment. I chose the top of the line system but it is good to know that Trane offers quality equipment in all price ranges down to basic one stage model compressors. You can spend a lot or you can go more economical. No matter what you choose Abaco will install it with precision. Because of my three separate experiences with Abaco Air Experts and all being very positive, I DO NOT HESITATE TO RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. Abaco installs Trane products but they service and perform maintenance on all brands. Went online and saw this company had 4.9 starts with 94 reviews. The two lowest reviews were about pricing not about workmanship or professionalism. We called at 5:32PM and they dispatched a repairman who arrived at called me at 6:20PM that he was 20 minutes out. Finished at 7:46PM and the system is working well. It costs me $149 for an emergency call on a Saturday night with one hour service level and $239 for the capacitor. The average online was between $120 to $150 and branded ones (I have a Carrier) as high as $400. Another contractor post "HVAC contractors are going to "book rates" - flat rate for a given job (with or without parts), commonly around $200-250 for this type of replacement." Their price was in line with everything I could find online. His employee was excellent and explained everything to us. Remember sometimes the cheapest isn't the best and ends up costing more in the long run. They checked the motor and freon level and gave me an honest assessment. He told me they both checked out fine. There is a lot to say about someones integrity, honor and professionalism that you could not put a dollar number on. Excellent job and I would never hesitate calling them again and again. read less
